Kawasaki Teryx 4 S LE is a Great 4-Seater for the Family
Kawasaki has built an incredible beginner side by side: the Teryx S. First let's talk about the machine. The Teryx S comes in both a 2-seater and 4-seater model. It's got an 800 cc V-twin engine and tops out at a speed around 50 mph. The vehicle also has the Fox 2.0 Piggback Shocks. Fox 2.0 shocks are some of the best in the industry. The Teryx S is 60 inches wide and 125 inches long. The machine comes stock with great Maxxis tires with 11.5 inch clearance.
In comparison, the most popular Polaris UTV is the RZR XP PRO 4. That machine is 64 inches wide and 155 inches long with a 14.5 inch clearance. The Teryx 4 S is a smaller, lighter vehicle.
The question that all potential Teryx customers ask is what terrain is the UTV built for. Where can you take this machine? The best environment is mountain trails. The Teryx belongs on choppy trails at slow-to-medium speed. The updated suspension, expanded wheel base, and expanded travel arm really smooth out rough terrain and mud. Will the Teryx crawl on rocks? Yes. We took one down to Moab and did Fins and Things just this past weekend with no problems. Will the Teryx climb sand dunes? Also yes. However, at the end of the day, the Teryx is a mountain machine.
